usa May 15, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Only a year ago, the contentious second best of Miss USA, Carrie Prejean, magnetized widespread fury when topless photographs of hers floated up on the Internet.

This year, all the 51 participators in Miss USA have presented themselves for their official pictures by sporting seductive and sexually suggestive expressions on their visages. They do not possess a lot of attire on their physiques though. The photos have been clicked by fashion photographer, Fadil Berisha, in a state of dramatic black-and-white. The photos, deemed as indecent by detractors, consist of racy lingerie, flaming looks and heaps of undressed skin.

In the interest of evenhandedness, the show of Miss USA is being organized in Las Vegas this week. The subject of the authorized advertising photographs is ‘Waking Up in Vegas.’ However, going by the photographs, it appears that the ordinary females in the renowned city of Las Vegas snooze in bustier, high heels, fishnet stockings and garters rather than flannel jammies.

The photographs appeared to be created to produce hullabaloo and buzz about the pageant. This was indicated by Today’s Matt Lauer to pageant president Paula Shugart.

Shugart confessed from Las Vegas that these photos do represent one sort of publicity. She then articulated that they have always been the avant-garde and forward-looking pageant. She blew her horn herself that the pageant was owned by Donald Trump.

Purportedly, several fuming telephone calls were executed to the pageant representatives owing to the explicit shots. Trump unabashedly endorsed these litigious photographs. He stated that they are, to some extent, sexual. However, he does not have any difficulty or trouble because of these photos since millions of Americans were staring at it. This was mentioned by Trump to the New York Daily News.

Shugart suggested to Lauer that these photographs pushed the mental boundaries and restrictions of the contenders. However, she guaranteed that all of them enjoyed doing this.

She also divulged, rather bluntly, that the females in the pageant do not aspire to establish tranquility in the globe. They are wannabe actresses and models. Their vision is to be in the ‘Victoria’s Secret’ fashion show. Shugart revealed that the ‘Waking Up in Vegas’ pictures are an effective way to train them for the future.
