kamineyCome Friday, August 14th, the much awaited Bollywood movie called “Kaminey” will hit the theaters all across the country other than Mumbai (where malls and multiplexes have been ordered to be shut down on government orders, due to the swine flu epidemic). “Kaminey” promises to present the dashing actor Shahid Kapoor in an absolutely new, never before seen character.
The stellar cast boasts of such other names as the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra featured as the lovable Sweety, besides Amol Gupte, Tenzing Nima and Chandan Roy Sanyal. The toast of the movie however is Shahid Kapoor in a double role as twin brothers Guddu and Charlie.

The story of “Kaminey” is set to be intensely dark, at times funny, with stark bold narrations. The dark undertones of the movie doesn’t leave the plot from beginning to end, a reason for which it had to face a lot of tiff with the censor board.

Guddu and Charlie are forever pitted against each other and they can barely manage to share the same space together for long. Both the characters have problem with their speech delivery, Charlie lisps while Guddu stutters. One night however, the brothers cross each others path. Charlie is drawn in to a scheme (obviously illegal) in order to earn a fast buck, while Guddu’s girlfriend Sweety, unknowingly ends up getting him drawn in to murky business.

Vishal Bhardwaj is known to be a master story teller, as has been evident by his earlier screen ventures like “Omkara” and “Maqbool.” Therefore, the expectation is high with this flick to tread the a path that has never been embarked on before in a Bollywood venture. The music for the film has already got the charts scorching, like the very popular “Dhan Tana,” which pays to tribute to the very essence of all “Bollywood masala” pot boilers.\
