Washington, September 20 (ANI): Carrie Prejean believes she may have lost the Miss California title but a bigger crown awaits her in heaven.

The 22-year-old was stripped off her crown due to her anti-gay marriage activism, which she made public in her answer during the national pageant in April.

Speaking at the recent Values Voters Summit 2009 in Washington, D.C, Carrie told that “even though I didn’t win the crown that night, I know that the Lord has so much of a bigger crown in heaven for me,” reports CBS News.

She said that “God had a plan for me that day” that she lost the contest because “he knew I was strong enough to get through all the junk that I’ve been through.”

The beauty queen added: “I was a woman who stood up for the truth and people don’t want to admit that. I had the courage and the bravery that a lot of people don’t have.” (ANI)
