Ex-flame told Lady Gaga she would never be a pop star
February 27th, 2010 - 5:16 pm ICT by ANIMelbourne, Feb 27 (ANI): ‘Poker Face’ singer Lady Gaga has revealed how an ex-boyfriend of hers had told her that she would not amount to anything as a pop singer.
Gaga, 23, real name Stefani Germanotta, has had enormous chart success since she launched her career last year.
“I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling America’s Cosmopolitan magazine.
“I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the f***ing deli without hearing or seeing me’,” she added. (ANI)
