Ex-American Idol singer Clay Aiken dubs Adam Lambert ‘awful’
May 23rd, 2009 - 4:40 pm ICT by ANI ( 2 comments )New York, May 23 (ANI): Former American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken has criticised this season’s finalist Adam Lambert, dubbing the latter “awful”.
Pop singer Clay, who began his rise to fame on the second season of the television program in 2003, said 27-year-old Adam was nothing less than frightening, reports Defamer.com.
“I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing ‘Ring of Fire’ and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed,” the New York Daily News quoted him as saying on his blog.
“Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!” he added.
Aiken’s apparent bitterness comes after the Chicago Sun-Times previously reported that he had offered Lambert to record duets and even a concert tour but was left facing disappointment. (ANI)

I think Clay Aiken is awful. he is just jealous because Adam has more talent and a better voice.

Wow, talk about sour grapes! Aiken was looking to revive his dubious career by latching on to Lambert and when Lambert said no thanks, Aiken called him awful???? How pathetic and obvious can one person get? Aiken sings like a million other people, not bad but nothing memorable. Lambert is a true original and has a long and healthy career ahead of him.
