Oct 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Evil Dead 2″ was one of the movies that was featured in the AMC Fearfest this year. Just on the Halloweens day, the movie seems to have given the perfect start for the spookiest day of the year. AMC Fearfest started on October 1 and will end today at 1:30 Pm with “The Walking Dead”.

AMC Fearfest dedicated its entire month to several timeless thrillers and horror movies. Each day featured about thirteen horror pictures all throughout the day. “Evil Dead 2″ was shown yesterday 10:15 PM also, but it was repeated at 6:00 AM again this morning. All those who started the Halloweens Day with “Evil Dead 2″, will surely feel the haunted aura all through out the day, which counts as the main essence for Halloweens. The movie was released on March 13, 1987 and was written and directed by Sam Raimi, produced by Robert Tapert, Alex De Benedetti, Irvin Shapiro and Bruce Campbell. It was distributed by Renaissance Pictures. The movie starred Bruce Campbell and Sarah Berry. It is about Ash and his girl friend Linda, who went for a holiday in the woods, that led them to the evil and dreadful scenario, when Linda chanted a few spells that aroused the dead spirits. Stranded in the woods, they faced the ghastliest situation of life, where Linda had to sacrifice herself. The movie was a huge success and got $10.9 million at the box office.

The other movies that will be featured on the concluding day of AMC Fearfest, are the six Halloweens series, “From Dusk Till Dawn”, “Dawn of the Dead”, and “The Walking Dead.” All those who are yet to make a plan for the day, or have no plans at all, can stay glued to the AMC Fearfest to celebrate the scariest Halloweens possible.
