July 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria Parker who has won the hearts of many Americans with her beautiful face and acting prowess is reportedly close to signing a deal to play The Wasp in the new superhero flick “The Avengers”. Marvel Studios introduced the powerhouse cast of “The Avengers” at Comic-Con International in San Diego where Scarlett Johansson was seen as the only actress who will play the role of Black Widow but there are still speculations going on as to who will play The Wasp. However, Eva Longoria Parker herself denied the news saying it to be an “internet rumor”.

The media has been speculating from a long time about the role of The Wasp and a reputed media source reported that Marvel Studios is in negotiations with Eva Longoria Parker and the actress reportedly went to the studio for camera tests. However, the media source could not give any specifications in which movie she will be cast. The “Lower Learning” actress dismissed the news completely saying it to be an internet rumor “as of now”. Even a representative from Marvel Studios has said that the reports are not true.

Eva Longoria Parker said that she will not be playing the role of insect superhero in “The Avengers”. The actress in one of her interviews said that she had taken meeting about a different movie at Marvel Studios which stemmed all the rumors. However, the actress remained tight lipped about what role she would play for Marvel Studios. Talking about the “The Avengers” the cute looking actress jokingly said that “it” is a “fantastic” rumor and she wishes to go with the flow and as a result she might actually be hired for the role!
