Comparisons are bound to set in when two celebrities get photographed in red carpet events, donning the same garment and that too by the same brand. That’s what has happened when Eva Longoria Parker and Padma Lakshmi wear caught by the camera sporting the same Halston mauve jumpsuit, albeit on different occasions. Of course this has got people talking, as was bound to happen. Also, it has led to a frame by frame comparison as to who looked better in the outfit, Padma with her taller willowy frame or the curvy Eva.

Thank god that the similarity for both had ended at the dress and did not carry on to their accessories. Eva was spotted in the Halston attire in the Rally for Kids With Cancer “The Winner’s Circle” Gala in Beverly Hills. She had accessorized the slinky strapless dress with gold bangles and had slicked back her hair in to a knot. The dress somehow looked a little long for the petite former “Desperate Housewives” star, highlighting the fact that she needed to visit a tailor. Padma wore the one piece jumpsuit to the 6th Annual Wayuu Taya Foundation Gala in New York City last week. The “Top Chef” host Padma had worn a lariat necklace and gold bracelet from her own line to go with the dress.

Moving on to news about Halston, the famous fashion house’s video for the Halston Fall-Winter Collection 09-10 is creating quite a buzz around the cyber world. The extremely well made video showcases the designer’s collection for the upcoming season to the full advantage. It is no surprise then that the video has caught so much attention since its release in April 2009.
