Designer Rohit Bal delivered a fabulous grand finale, thus drawing the curtains on the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif walked the ramp for him in decorative ethnic wear.

Rohit’s collection was based on the magnificence of the Mughal era. There were high quality velvets and handspun muslin cloth on display. His show also had gold-painted dancers who had been flown in from Orissa. They were noticed after they won a talent show on TV. The dance group, which includes daily wage laborers, performed “Dashavatar” (the 10 incarnations of Vishnu).

Meanwhile the final day of the Fashion Week saw models in saris and sherwanis on a glass ramp with metallic lotuses strewn around underneath. Most of the designers went traditional that day, including Jaya Rathore, Jyotee Khaitan and Rohit Mittal.
