Estella Warren won’t be charged for felony escape

The “Planet of the Apes” star tried to escape after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under influence on Monday night. The police however managed to re-arrest her.
The decision not to charge Estella with felony escape charges is not out of favor for the actress. According to the authorities when Estella tried to escape from the police, she was not booked. That means she was technically not arrested at the time that she tried to escape.
The decision by the prosecutors not to charge Estella with felony was first reported by the celebrity website TMZ. With the felony charge dropped, Estella still has the charges of assault, hit and run and driving under the influence to defend.
The actress was arrested on Monday in Los Angeles when she drove into three cars which were parked and tried to drive away. When the police got to her, Estella allegedly kicked one of the officers and resisted the arrest. Estella was taken to the police custody in handcuffs but she managed to slip out of the cuffs and escaped through a back door. She was however re-arrested shortly after that.
She was released on Tuesday after posting $100,000 bail.
