steve3 Bristol, Oct 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Late on Sunday night, ESPN announced that it was firing analyst Steve Phillips. “Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN,” network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said in a statement. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”

It may be recalled that Steve Phillips had an affair with a 22 year old production assistant Brooke Hundley, and since it came into light, he has been in a soup. ESPN had suspended him for a week and has now taken the drastic step of firing him.

Meanwhile, according to another report, Steve’s representative issued a statement saying that Phillips “is voluntarily admitting himself to an in-patient treatment facility to address his personal issues.”

His girlfriend Brooke Hundley was very angry at being dumped, and she retaliated back, with details, revealing all phone calls to his wife Marni and a letter too, in which she talked about their affair loaded with lots of steamy details. The letter also bragged about her sexcapades with Phillips while taking pot shots at their “loveless marriage”. All this triggered off a police complaint, which in turn brought the affair out in the open to the media.

His divorce proceedings are on with his wife Marni, who is also the mother of his 4 sons.
