steve3 Bristol, Oct 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Late on Sunday night, ESPN announced that it was firing Steve Phillips. “Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN,” network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said in a statement. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”

The announcement was made late on Sunday night. It’s still not clear what transpired between Wednesday and Sunday, when Phillips was “granted” a leave of absence and when ESPN decided to part ways with him.

It may be recalled that, ESPN’s ex-analyst Steve Phillips had an affair with a 22-year-old production assistant Brooke Hundley, during the last summer and then later dumped her.

Steve Phillips is also now in divorce proceedings with his 40-year-old wife who is also mother to their 4 sons. This situation arose because he admitted having multiple affairs with women while working for the Mets. He had already made a deed in favor of his wife Marni, for the family’s five-bedroom, multimillion-dollar Wilton home.

His girlfriend Brooke Hundley was very angry at being dumped, and she retaliated back, with details, revealing all phone calls to his wife Marni and a letter too, in which she talked about their affair loaded with lots of steamy details. The letter also bragged about her sexcapades with Phillips while taking pot shots at their “loveless marriage”. All this triggered off a police complaint, which in turn brought the affair out in the open to the media.

And this has what to do with his job.

ESPN is a joke! I agree, what does his infedility have to do with his job? Brooke Hundley is no innocent in this and never belonged to Steve Phillips in the first place to be dumped. Is Brooke Hundley still employed?
