Ernest Borgnine To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award At The Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011

Ernest BorgnineJan 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Veteran actor Ernest Borgnine who has given enthralling performances over the years going on to win the hearts of the audience will be awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011 which will be held on January 30. The Lifetime Achievement Award is certainly one that speaks all of it. Jury decided to honor the ace American actor with it for his immense contribution to the film arena.

Fans of the 94 year old actor remember him best for his cowboy and military roles. His movie “Marty” won him an Academy Award in 1955. It was undoubtedly one of the best that he had to offer the movie bugs till date. On Sunday night while the veteran actor will be honored, “Marty” too will be recognized at the event. According to sources, Ernest Borgnine will receive the Life Achievement Award from none other than fellow actor and old pal Tim Conway. Ernest Borgnine recently turned 94 on January 24 but still has not stepped back from his acting career. The actor has starred in endless movies and television shows making himself memorable as an all time Navy veteran. Starting his acting career from 1949 onwards he has played diverse roles carrying out each with perfection.

Not only the jury for the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011 but every one else will also willingly nod in agreement that the 94 year old working actor truly deserves to get the Lifetime Achievement Award. It has been over sixty years that he is actively associated with acting be it on the silver screen, television or stage.
