June 26, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The well known sportscaster, Erin Andrews, may have to leave the popular channel ESPN as her contract with them will expire soon. July 1, is expected to be the last day of Andrews at ESPN.

Erin Andrews had gained much more fame by featuring in the show ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Maksim Chmerkovskiy had been her dancing partner there.

However, Andrews is said to have reported to Huffington Post that she wasn’t really permitted to talk about the expiry of her contract. The NCAA Omaha Basketball game may be the last game that she will get to cover for ESPN.

Although famous as a sports reporter, Andrews achieved instant stardom when she was seen on television as a finalist of the popular ‘Dancing With The Stars’ show, this year. The 32 year old reporter hopes to stay connected with the world of sports but has also expressed a wish to move on to other arenas.

She is amused by the fact that the men want to talk to her about various sporting events while the women find it impossible to refrain from asking about ‘Max’ or Maksim Chmerkovskiy , her dancing partner.

She has also said that she would like to get more involved in women’s issues especially with victims of crime. She, herself had been stalked in March. The accused, Michael David Barrett, had been charged with the crime and put behind bars for a period of 27 months. Barrett, had taken nude photographs of her, without her knowledge.
