Dec 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Erik Gates, who was an electric contractor by profession met with a tragic death. He was the owner of the company ‘Gateco Electric’. Like any other day, he was occupied with his job and while he was taking a walk on the roof of a multi-storied building, he was struck by a bad stroke of luck. Erik Gates was perched high, almost thirty feet above the ground and he fell from there. He was with his friend prior to the fall, who is greatly upset as he had no clue as to how that accident took place. His friend was facing the other side so he could not gauge how Erik Gates could fall from there.

Erik Gates had a passion for rocketry and along with his brother, he was very much interested in probing more into that the world of rockets. Their madness could be well traced as the two brothers started a kind of a website to exhibit their rockets.

Erik Gates claim to fame was with the very popular series, ‘Mythbusters‘, which was aired on the Discovery Channel. Erik Gates became a public figure trough this series which was greatly appreciated by all. Erik Gates of ‘Mythbusters’ fame is said to have suffered multiple injuries on his chest and was taken to the hospital for immediate medical help. Erik Gates was not unconscious as he could speak quite normally before being taken to the hospital, but he took his last breath there. His dear and near ones are going to miss him for sure. He passed away at the age of forty-seven.
