Eric Stonestreet Wins His First Emmy For “Modern Family”

Aug 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last was a dream come true for Eric Stonestreet as the actor bagged the much coveted award for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy. The 38 year old actor was happy, excited and emotional while he receiving his first Primetime Emmy Awards. The much anticipated and prestigious Primetime Emmy Awards 2010 was held last night and it witnessed many veteran celebrities receiving Emmy Awards for their outstanding contributions in the television industry.
Primetime Emmy Award 2010 was hosted by former “Saturday Night Live” host Jimmy Fallon who kept the audience riveted to their seats by giving them full entertainment through his gigs. Eric Stonestreet plays the role of Cameron Tucker in ABC’s “Modern Family” and the actor is well known for his acting prowess and yesterday he got his recognition as an actor by winning the award. The actor thanked his parents for their love and support and holding the award in his hand he told his mother, who was in the audience that the award is going home with her. The actor told his mother that when she wakes up everyday and goes to bed every night, she would see what she has made possible for his son.
“Modern Family” is an American mockumentary television series and nit is created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan. Last night the creators of “Modern Family” also received award for Outstanding Writing For A Comedy. Steven Levitan expressed his excitement by saying that the whole cast of the series are happy to see that the American audience have accepted them. Eric Stonestreet also mentioned that it didn’t matter who won it but the whole cast members are proud of their show and that matters the most.
