The singer admitted that he was so high and scared in the morning of his 1979 wedding to Pattie Boyd that he refused to leave his room.

Promoting his new memoirs, ‘Eric Clapton: The Autobiography’, the English guitarist confessed that he turned one of his happiest days into almost one of his worst.

“I started smoking joints in the morning with a couple of my friends and I got paranoid and I couldn’t come out of this bedroom,” Contactmusic quoted Clapton, as telling U.S. news show Access Hollywood.

“I didn’t go out and check what was going on until about half past eight in the evening,” he added. (ANI)
