Rhode Island, Mar 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The gorgeous Harry Potter star Emma Watson has split from her boyfriend Jay Barrymore. They had been dating for 2 years. The 19-year-old actress and the 28-year-old financier Jay had a cozy little relationship, till Emma Watson decided to concentrate on her studies. She moved to the United States to study at the Brown University, Rhode Island, and since then their relationship went downhill.

The long-distance relationship didn’t survive even a few months, and both of them realized the futility of the relationship, and hence decided to go their separate ways. “Emma and Jay were in trouble for months and with Emma at Brown University in America, the transatlantic gap proved too much for their relationship to survive,” according to a source.

Emma Watson is the daughter of Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both of whom are British lawyers. She was born in Paris and lived there till she was 5 years old. After her parents divorced, she moved to Oxfordshire with her mother and her younger brother. As she was very intent on becoming an actress since her childhood, so she used to attend a theatre school where she studied singing, dancing and acting. She fulfilled her dream to become a successful actress at a very young age too.
