Los Angeles, April 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reports on the Internet suggest that Emma Watson dropped out of the university because of taunts that she suffered at the school. The 21-year-old British actress enrolled at the Brown University in the United States but dropped out saying she was finding it difficult to combine her studies and professional acting career.

According to the reports, Watson was taunted by her classmates who got to know that she featured in the Harry Potter franchise. New York Daily News cited a source in its report saying that, “They would respond with a quote from Harry Potter. The most popular choice was, ‘Three points for Gryffindor!’”

The report claimed that the taunts were not restricted only to the classroom. The Daily Mail reported that Watson a suffered similar fate when she went out to watch an American football game. The report says Watson is considering enrolling in a university in New York.

Last month Watson announced that she is putting her education on hold to concentrate on her fashion work and acting career. The last Harry Potter movie, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” is due to be released this year.
