emmaOct 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems that the much coveted role of Mary Jane in the “Spider-Man” reboot which has always been played by Kirsten Dunst will no longer be played by her anymore. The media outlets are abuzz with the rumor that the role of Mary Jane in the upcoming project will be played by Emma Stone. A reputed gossip portal has reported that the “Zombieland” actress has signed up to play the role of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming “Spider-Man” sequel. Some sources are of the opinion that Sony Pictures Entertainment has “imminently” offered the role of “Spider-Man”s love interest to the American actress who has made her feature film debut in a comedy “Superbad”. The director Marc Webb has reportedly said that he wants to reboot the superhero movie with an entire new cast to attract the attention of the audiences.

The media journalists says that Andrew Garfield will be portraying “Spider-Man” in the upcoming project. Several other veteran actresses of Hollywood like Dianna Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig and Dominique McElligott are still in the running for the role of Gwen Stacy, another female lead in the movie.
