Emma Stone may join ‘The Gangster Squad’

London, July 28 (IANS) American actress Emma Stone is reportedly in talks to star in director Ruben Fleischer’s “The Gangster Squad”.
Contactmusic.com reports that the actress is said to be in line for the role of bitter beauty Jean in the crime movie, which is set to feature actor Ryan Gosling.
The film which is also set to star Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie and Michael Pena will see Jean caught in a love triangle with Ryan’s character Sgt. Jerry Wooters and Sean Penn’s alter-ego Mickey Cohen.
The movie, which is based on a true story, portrays the Los Angeles Police Department’s struggle to ensure the East Coast mafia stay out of the city in the 1940s and 1950s.
