June 18, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Eminem, the prominent rapper, has had to put up with colossal disparagement in the past from campaigners working for the legalization of fair treatment towards homosexuals. The remonstration from those campaigners has been that the lyrics in several songs of Eminem have been massively distasteful towards the homosexual community. Nonetheless, now, it seems that the heart and mindset of Eminem have undergone a transformation. Eminem has articulated that he is now a proponent of homosexual marriages.
In keeping with sfgate.com, Eminem has been besieged by censure from gay rights activists on account of some of his divisive songs relating to homosexuals. In the previous year, Eminem had utilized a deprecating term in his ‘Elevator’ single to refer to popular homosexual vocalists such as Adam Lambert, Lance Bass and Clay Aiken. After that usage, Eminem was inundated with verbal hammerings from crusaders in favor of just treatment being meted out to the homosexual populace.
However, Eminem, the ‘Slim Shady’ celebrity, has now proclaimed to the New York Times that his mentality towards homosexuals has experienced a steady evolution and that he is more mature now than in the past. Eminem has pronounced to the broadsheet that homosexuals have the right to get hitched just like heterosexual duos. Eminem has also declared jocosely that homosexual couples possess the right to walk down the aisle and be just as despondent as heterosexual twosomes. The rapper declared that, if two individuals are smitten by each other, then the world must not bother about the sexual orientation of those two people.
