Emeril Lagasse to join ‘Top Chef’
August 11th, 2011 - 8:31 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattTexas, Aug 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Celebrated chef Emeril Lagasse has been handed a role on the reality television show “Top Chef.” Bravo has announced that the restaurateur will be a judge on the show which will be held in Texas this season.
During the 9th Season of the show, Bravo has announced that three cities in Texas – Dallas, Austin and San Antonio – will be the venues for the show. The entire season will be restricted to the three cities.
The confirmation of Emeril as a judge on the show brings to four the number of judges who have been lined up. Food critic and writer Gail Simmons and head judge Tom Colicchio along with Hugh Acheson have already been confirmed. Padma Lakshmi is confirmed as the host of the show for the ninth season as well.
In a press conference, the network stated that, “The new season of ‘Top Chef’ will heartily embrace the Lone Star State’s adage and all things are bigger as, in a series first, the production will head to three cities within the season.”
Top Chef is exclusive to Bravo and the new season of the show will start airing on the network this fall.
