Emeli Sande is back on the No. 1 spot with ‘Our Version of Events’
May 28th, 2012 - 10:08 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, May 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Emeli Sandé is back on the UK albums number one spot with her album “Our Version of Events”. She released the album in February 2012. The singer beat guitarist Joe Bonamassa’s album “Driving Towards the Daylight”.
Adele’s “21” is now number three, John Mayer is now fourth with “Born and Raised”, making it his first Top 10 album in the British charts. The Bee Gees went back to the charts with the album “Number Ones”, fifth in the charts, and “Ultimate Bee Gees” landed at 35. This charts comeback came after the death of one of the members of the group, Robin Gibb, last Sunday.
Adele Emeli Sandé, better known as Emeli Sandé, is a Scottish soul singer and songwriter. She rose to fame after her collaboration with the rapper Chipmunk in his third single, “Diamond Rings”, which reached the top 10 on the UK Singles Chart. She has written songs for numerous artists, including Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, Alesha Dixon, Cheryl Cole, Cher Lloyd, Parade, and Preeya Kalidas.
Sandé’s first solo single “Heaven” was released in August 2011. It shortly became a hit around the world.
