Elton John very keen to enjoy parenthood
April 18th, 2010 - 8:16 pm ICT by IANSLondon, April 18 (IANS) Singer Sir Elton John was heartbroken after his request to adopt an Ukrainian boy Lev was rejected on grounds of his sexuality. But he is still keen to be a parent.
John and his partner David Furnish decided to start a family and adopt Lev last year.
“I’d said until that point, ‘No, I’m too old (to adopt).’ Then I thought, ‘You know what Elton, you’re not too old. You’re still very young at heart. You’ve done everything you possibly can in your career, the only thing you haven’t done is be a good parent,” express.co.uk quoted John as saying.
The pop superstar feels a child will complete his family.
“I think that life’s all about learning; trying to learn a little bit more, change a little bit more, and I think a child would be the icing on the cake,” John said.
