Elton John regrets selling collection
February 4th, 2011 - 2:27 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Feb 4 (IANS) English Singer Elton John says he regrets selling off his record collection to start his Elton John AIDS Foundation.John accepted $250,000 from a collector in St. Louis, Missouri, to give up his treasure trove of vinyl in 1989.
“It was right before I got sober… I was just starting the Elton John AIDS Foundation. To raise money I sold them for $250,000… I really regret it now,” contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.
