London, May 16 (IANS) Rocker Elton John confirmed that he will perform at the former South African president Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations here and it has raised speculations that hip hop star Eminem will join him on stage. Ananova.com reports that Eminem is tipped to make an appearance at the event and now John’s confirmation has raised more speculations. John is also rumoured to have contributed to Eminem’s comeback album, which will hit the stalls sometime this year. The two had performed Eminem’s hit “Stan” in 2001 at the Grammy Awards.
The concert for Nelson Mandela will raise awareness for his AIDS campaign and will take place at Hyde Park on June 27. Other performers include Leona Lewis, Queen and Razorlight.
