Elton John, David Furnish ’still hope to adopt Ukranian boy’
January 5th, 2010 - 4:57 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, January 05 (ANI): Elton John and partner David Furnish have not given up the hope of adopting Ukrainian boy, despite the government not allowing it.
The singer’s partner revealed that they would look for home for 17-month-old HIV-positive Lev and his brother Artyom, three.
“We are going to find a home for those boys in the Ukraine. We will get them a home as it would be a long uphill battle to bring them over here,” the Mirror quoted Furnish as telling Closer magazine.
The Ukraine government had refused their adoption application claiming John was too old under the rules for adopting a baby.
John had said referring to Lev: “He has stolen my heart and he has stolen David’s heart. I would love to adopt him.” (ANI)
