London, April 4 (ANI): Sir Elton John has sparked outrage by calling the Queen a “mean old bitch” during a sketch for US comedy show ‘Saturday Night Live’.
‘The Queen’, played by Fred Armisen, made fun of the singer’s hit ‘Candle In The Wind’, which he sung at Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997.
“When I see that Candle In The Wind, I light my farts,” the Daily star quoted Armisen as saying at the show.
The 64-year-old John then called her a mean old bitch and dubbed her and Prince Philip, played by Bill Hader “freaks”.
The Queen and Philip broke into Cockney accents and told John: “Unlike you, we have not forgotten where we came from.” (ANI)
