Los Angeles, Mar 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo is back to filming the TV show, after maternity leave of just 4 weeks. She is also being criticized for this decision, but she defends her action wholeheartedly. In her defense she says that she ‘needed to work’ while she ‘still has a job’. It seems that she is scared of being replaced by some other actress on the show, if she takes a long break from the show.

She gave birth to her daughter Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery, who is her first child with husband Chris Ivery. Even though she ought to have taken things easy after her delivery, yet she shocked all by getting back into shape, in just a month. She managed to shock people further when she went back to work full time, after such a short span of giving birth.

She said to the media about this decision that, “A lot of people couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t take my maternity leave. I felt like I needed to work while I had this opportunity.” She says that she is very lucky to have a job in the recession-hit times, and she doesn’t want to take it for granted.
