Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As today’s episode of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ began, it was the second annual ‘Cat Week’ which Ellen says is much like ‘Shark Week’, but with less sharks and more cats. Ellen showed cute and funny videos of a cat and a goat, both of which seemed to be talking.

Ellen then showed her ‘Clumdy Thumbsy’ segment which features text and auto-correct mishaps which were sent in by her viewers. One of the funnier conversations went something like this:
Mom: “Are you working on Saturday?”
Kathleen: “Yes, and they asked me to do playboy too. I’m doing it because I need the money.”
Mom: “Omg, just wait until your dad hears about this!”
Kathleen: “Omg, Mom, I typed ‘overtime’, not ‘playboy’.”

Ellen’s guests were Steve Martin, Owen Wilson, and Jack Black, all stars of the new movie, ‘The Big Year’. These guys are hilarious! Steve came out frowning, and informed Ellen that he did not especially like the greeting which he received. He feels that instead, he should have been carried in on a pedestal by Owen and Jack while trumpets announced his arrival. The audience roared with laughter.

Owen has a new baby boy, eight months old, and says that he loves being a father. Jack interrupted with, “I have little ones, too. They are also very cute!” His boys, Sammy and Tommy are five and three years old. His son Sammy wants to either be a FedEx man or a UPS man for Halloween. Steve Martin’s band won a ‘Bluegrass Band of the Year’ award, and the other two men had a bit of fun picking at Steven for his bluegrass music.

As the three men played ‘Truth or Dare’, Owen had to eat a jalapeno pepper, and Steve Martin was told to hit one of his co-stars over the head with a bottle. He broke a bottle over Owen’s head. Jack Black also went “Dare,” and was told to eat a mouthful of crackers and try to whistle, which was hilariously impossible. For Jack Black’s next “Dare” he had to strip down to his tank top and boxers. He did so, and danced through the audience. Jack was then seated in a dunking booth, and the other shot balls at him. Steve Martin gave up and walked over the the button, ducking Black. ‘The Big Year’ opens in theaters this Friday.
