Feb 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ellen is on a sugar-cleanse. Today is day number seven. She adds that she is eating foods which contain sugar, but not sugar. She joked that she had a carrot cake to celebrated the 1100th issue of the show.  She took the time to thank everyone in her staff for helping her get this far. She also thanked the college interns who work for just the credits, and does not even get paid. Ellen thanked everyone in the control room, backstage, the entire staff, for doing a great job, she did a dance for them all.

Ellen was so happy that the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl! She said that she could talk about it all day long. “What an exciting game!” she expressed happily.

A viewer wrote in to express how much she enjoyed it when Andy was on the show, and commented on how great his skin is. She asked if Andy had any tips she could share with her hubby. Ellen stated than Andy’s wife probably appreciated his skin as well, and called for Andy to come from back stage. Andy came out to show what he uses for his skin, and the entire audience got an Orbagi gift set of skin care products.

They showed quite a few of the favorite clips of the last 100 shows, a lot of dancing, guest stars, singing, and laughing. It was hilarious!

“Jessica Alba” was the guest star for the day on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Jessica has a 20 month old daughter named “Honor” who is absolutely adorable. Jessica said that Honor has become very independent extremely early.  Jessica Alba is one of the many stars in the new movie “Valentine’s Day.” “Ashton Kutcher” plays Jessica’s fiance, who asks her to marry him on Valentine’s Day at the beginning of the movie. The Mystery Word of the day was “Hot Tamale” and Ellen managed to get Jessica to say it, so the entire audience got a Visa Card worth $500.

Ellen has now started a “Winter Windstorm” in which she will be giving away a lot of cash and gifts to people in need. She has a couple in the back room who has no idea that they are to be on the show today. They thought they were here for a filming of a future show. This couple can no longer afford their home, they are both trying to work with one car, and need help pretty badly. They have 2 children, ages 2 and 5 months and make less than $500 a month. Their bills are $1500 more than they have every month. Ellen gave them ten thousand cash, and new GMC Terrain.

Next, Ellen had the cast of “Jersey Shore”, “Snookie,” “The Situation,” and “Paulie D.” The explained to Ellen that they feel they have to constantly stay in a tanning bed.  Ellen had them all play the game “Know or Go.”  The category was “New Jersey” The first contestant to go was Paulie D, because he did not know the slogan for “The Olive Garden.” “The Situation went next, and was dropped when he did not know who hosts “The Situation Room” on CNN. When asked which side of the war between the north and the south New Jersey was on, Snookie said,”South.” Given a second chance, she said that Canada was one of the original 13 colonies. She was then dropped as well.
