Ellen DeGeneres All Set To Judge The Ninth Season Of ‘American Idol’

Jan 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Much acclaimed stand-up comedienne Ellen DeGeneres is all set to adorn the hat of the judge in the ninth season of the popular musical reality series ‘American Idol‘, that is scheduled to premiere on January 12 on the Fox network. Anticipation regarding the latest season of the reality series is running high as the popular talk show host would be seen joining the other judges in evaluating the singing talents of America.
Ellen DeGeneres joins the much anticipated show as a replacement to Paula Abdul, who had been part of the reality series since its debut season. Reportedly, Paula Abdul decided to quit the show after a financial dispute with the producers of the show.
Meanwhile, while reacting to her new role as a judge of the musical reality show, the 51 year old television hostess has emphasized that the main reason which led her to join the show despite having any musical background, was that she wanted to bring the people’s point of view to the forefront. At the same time, the talk show host also added that she is a huge fan of the reality series and has been following it since the first season.
However, the fans of Ellen DeGeneres would have to wait a while longer till February 9 to see their favorite star play the role of a judge as the television hostess would be joining the other judges in the reality show’s Hollywood round.
Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres has also revealed that she would be discussing details about the musical reality series on her talk show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, which would give mileage to both the shows.
