Los Angeles, Dec 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dame Elizabeth Taylor was expected to open her jewelry store in Beverly Hills on Saturday. Her attendance was highly anticipated by audience and her numerous fans, but she disappointed them, when she couldn’t make it to the launch because of flu, according to her spokesman.

The anxious crowd waited for over 3 hours to catch a glimpse of the aging but the legendary actress, but they all were highly disappointed when her spokesman informed them that she wouldn’t be able to make it, as she is down with flu. More than the launch of the high-profile jewelry store, the fans were interested in catching a glimpse of the star, but all of them had to be disappointed.

The ailing star has been besotted with health problems since a long time. In October, she had heart surgery to fix a leaking heart valve. Despite being frequently sick, the Dame Elizabeth Taylor said that she is tired about the frequent rumors about her well-being. She said that, she has “outlived so many who have prematurely buried me”.

So to stem the rumors in the tide, Dame Elizabeth Taylor has started using the social networking and micro-blogging site Twitter, so that she can relay the correct information herself to her million fans.
