bethMay 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Elizabeth Perkins is all ready to turn into a mother, yet again, but for that, she is having to bid goodbye to her other child. She has declared that she would not be returning to the hit television series, “Weeds,’ which can be credited to be the one that has made her a household name, practically, and would be stepping into the world of films instead. Signing up for this movie must have been a big step for the actress, as this is the first film that she will be starring in since 2005, when she took part in the film “Must Love Dogs.”

Elizabeth Perkins has been starring in Weeds for the last five years, ever since the show was first aired on television. In the series, she portrays the character of a mother, but a scheming one. She is leaving the series only to step into the shoes of yet another mother. However, this time she will be giving life to a wonderfully warm character. In the animation-live action comedy, directed by Tim Hill, she will be starring alongside the likes of Russel Brand and James Marsden.

The character portrayed by Elizabeth Perkins, although a rather exasperated one, having to deal with all the stupidities of her out of work slacker son, but a delightful warm and wonderful one, a complete change from the conniving, sly character that she played in “Weeds.” Besides acting in this film titled “I Hop,” she is also starting work on a new comedy series. However, there are no concrete reports on the nature of the series, except that it is being developed by her.
