Elisabetta Canalis says that George Clooney was like a father figure to her
October 31st, 2011 - 8:10 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Oct 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Italian model Elisabetta Canalis has revealed that George Clooney was like a father to her when the two were going out. 50-year-old Clooney and 33-year-old Canalis dated for two years before ending their relationship.
When the relationship ended, there were rumors that Canalis’ desperation for marriage and children was to be blamed for it. She refuted those reports saying the decision to end the relationship was a mutual one.
She reportedly told Italian TV personality Bruno Vespa that, “He was a very special person for me - like a father… With George it was more of a father-daughter relationship… It was a great love and it was like living a fairy tale. George is a real gentleman even with his private life. I was very well respected as a partner.”
When she was pressed to state the cause of the separation Canalis just noted that it was a mutual agreement. She doesn’t hold any hard feelings against Clooney who jumped into a relationship shortly after they broke up.
The actor is currently going out with 32-year-old former WWE star Stacy Keibler.
Canalis was evicted from the ABC hit show Dancing With The Stars in the early stages of the show.
