Elisa Donovan, first managed to catch the eyes of movie goers in the Alicia Silverstone starer movie “Clueless”. In the film she portrayed the role of Amber, an uppity and full-fledgedly misguided slave to fashion.
Elisa Donovan was born in Poughkeepsie, NY and raised in Northport, Long Island on February 3rd, 1974. She took up acting at the very young age of seven and later became inclined towards the New York theater. Her first film was “Risk” the story of which was loosely based on the play about AIDS called Safe, in which she had appeared at The Little Theater in Long Island.
In the wake of the year 1994, Elisa moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a full-time film and television career. A short while after arriving at Los Angels, she got a role in the series “Blossom” following which she was cast in “Clueless” as Amber.
Before coming to Los Angeles, she studied at the prestigious Michael Chechov acting studio and at the Eugene Lang College at the New School for Social Research. There she attended classes in classical and dramatic literature, writing and acting after completing her graduation from a high school.
Off lately, she has starred in “Best Actress” an E! original movie, she also guest starred in the series, “Just Shoot Me” and “Jack and Jill” and in addition to these she had a recurring role for the “Beverly Hills 90210″ series.
As for Elisa’s films, most recently she was seen in, “A Night at Roxbury” and her upcoming films includes, “Powder Burns” and “Save me a Seat”.
