Ekta Kapoor not a difficult task master: Sarwar Ahuja

New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) Ekta Kapoor is infamous for being a tough boss, but small screen actor Sarwar Ahuja, who plays the title role in her new series “Keshav Pandit” on Zee TV, describes the television czarina as a “warm-hearted” person.
“Honestly, the show was not a cake walk for me. I had to give seven auditions for this role. Ekta is not a difficult task master, she is focused and warm-hearted. The environment is very professional and our interaction has been limited. I’m here to deliver what she expects from her character and I will give my best shot to do so,” Sarwar told IANS.
Better known as Pankaj of the popular serial “Jyoti”, Sarwar started his career with Subhash Ghai’s movie “Khanna & Iyer” (2007) and then featured in Manish Goel’s “Hum Phir Milenge” (2009) and Prakash Saini’s “Meri Padosan” (2009). But right now she wants to focus on small screen projects only.
“I am not looking for any shift to big screen in near future because I have had a bad experience till now. It is better not to do a film than being part of a bad film. I love the beauty of the sets and the whole atmosphere. But small screen is offering me good roles to showcase my talent,” he said.
The actor says he is content as he is getting an opportunity to work with the best of directors.
“I cannot ask for anything more. I’m happy with my graph and content with my professional life. It’s just been five years and I have worked with some of the finest directors in the industry. I did my first film with Subhash Ghai, who is one of the best in Bollywood. Now I’m working with the television queen Ekta Kapoor.”
He gives credit to Zee TV’s reality show “India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj” for his success.
“I bow down and thank ‘Cinestars’ for every single thing they have done for me. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been here without them. They have made me grow in every aspect - be it looks, attitude and confidence. In short, they (Cinestar) are the reason for my success.”
