Eddie Fisher’s Death Shocks Ex-Wife Connie Stevens

The singer-actor who was a rising star in the early 1950s passed away in California on Wednesday after suffering from post surgery complications as it has been reported. The singer was 82 when he died. As one can understand, his family members and daughters are grieved at his death and they have said that with his demise, USA lost a music legend. Notably, the singer became more popular for his high profile marriages, most of which ended in divorce and spawned widespread scandal in those times. His playboy image eclipsed his music career to an extent and even in his autobiography the singer candidly confessed that it was his affairs that made him more famous than his work or music.

He married a number of Hollywood divas including Connie Stevens and Elizabeth Taylor. However, both marriages did not last for long. Connie Stevens was the third wife of the singer. According to the latest media buzz the lady is stunned at the demise of her ex-husband. She is best remembered for her stint in TV series like Maverick and Hawaiian Eye. Her marriage with Eddie Fisher lasted only for two years, 1967-1969. They had two daughters from the marriage namely Tricia Leigh Fisher and Joely Fisher. The daughters were very close to their father.

Eddie Fisher’s success story astonished many when he published his autobiography but, it is also true that he wasted his potential owing to his numerous affairs and his addiction to drugs. However, his inclusion in the Hollywood Walk Of Fame twice speaks a volume about his talent.
