Eddie Cibrian May Be ‘Killed Off’ of CSI, LeAnn Rimes Tweets Support
June 18th, 2010 - 2:30 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJune 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Eddie Cibrian, the boyfriend of LeAnn Rimes, joined the cast of CSI:Miami last year, to fill in for Adam Rodriguez, who had left the show. According to ‘People’ magazine, his contract is now up, and reports are saying that his character is about to be killed off the show.
Eddie celebrated his 37th birthday on Wednesday, but did not get a contract renewal for a present. Instead, his character was axed from the show a year after he joined, since CBS is said to have decided on placing the focus onto the core cast this season. If he is killed off the show, there can not be a “guest re-appearance” at a later time.
The announcement that Eddie is leaving the show was made just after the news broke that Adam Rodriguez, who plays Eric Delko, is returning this season full time. This September will be the ninth season of CSI:Miami.
LeAnn Rimes was very supportive of the Eddie when the news broke. On Thursday she Tweeted, “Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. Every story has and end, but in life every end is just a new beginning.”
