dert4Boston, May 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A bevy of Hollywood stars that included Ed Harris, Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman were witnessed in their new roles as narrators for Boston Pops. Reportedly, the actors joined Cherry Jones for the world premiere of Boston Pops’ “The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of The Kennedy Brothers”. The multimedia work was staged at Boston’s Symphony Hall.

Composer Peter Boyer joined in hands with lyricist Lynn Ahrens to carve out the music for this unique multimedia show which served as a tribute to the Kennedy Brothers: John, Edward and Robert Kennedy. The program extracted elements of inspiration from the text of the original speeches that was delivered by the Kennedy brothers. Along with the speech they also refereed to the video to make sure that the mood is set right for the orchestral chores.

The concert was called “Stars and Stripes: American Heroes” which also witnessed the performance from Renese King, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Arlo Guthrie and Cherry Jones. “Tanglewood Festival Chorus” received direction from Keith Lockhart which added to the grace of the multimedia piece. The conductors of the show told the media that the chief idea behind “The Dream Lives On” was to honor and respect the ideals of the Kennedy brothers who had always striven to give the very best to the their nation and countrymen no matter what the ill or the odds were. As a matter of fact the title for the multimedia piece was inspired from the last lines of the speech that was delivered by Ted Kennedy at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Boston’s WCVB-TV5 was the official broadcaster for the evening. “The Dream Lives On” shall soon be back on air which shall have new narrators like actors Chris Cooper, Alec Baldwin and Will LeBow.
