Eclipse shatters box-office records

tr July 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Summit’s “Eclipse” has grossed more than $30 million dollars in sales according to reports. The third movie in the “Twilight” series made more money than last one - “New Moon” which made a total of $26.2 million.

The new movie would be shown in more cities on Friday, which will in turn increase the number of locations that are showing the blockbuster to 4437 locations. The first “Twilight” movie were shown as a double-bill at 2,037 locations and made about $2.4 million in sales.

Another movie “Airbender” is expected to achieve as much success at the box office. Airbender would also be a tough competitor for Eclipse. The movie is a story about a boy who has the power to control the wind, air, earth and fire, that represent the warring nations in the movie.

“Eclipse” will be shown in many other countries on Wednesday, and countries such as Mexico and Brazil are included on the list. The movie shows Hollywood favorites such as Robert Pattinson, who stars as “Vampire Edward”, Kirsten Stewart (a human called Bella) and Taylor Lautner (werewolf Jacob)

“Eclipse” is the third movie in the series of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling vampire book series.
