June 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Today the third movie in Summit Entertainment’s Twilight Saga, ‘Eclipse’ is getting released in the USA and from the initial responses it looks like this movie may shatter the box office records set by the earlier 2 movies in the franchisee. The third movie has been directed by David Slade. The director earlier tasted success with another well known vampire flick 30 days of Night. The story of Eclipse begins from the place where New Moon ends. Victoria is baying for the blood of Bella Swan whom she hold responsible for the death of James, her mate. Bella Swan on the other hand wants to transform into a vampire but her vampire lover Edward Cullen does not want that. She also gets torn between her feelings for Edward Cullen and her werewolf admirer Jacob Black.

‘Eclipse’ is also brooding and dark like earlier two movies but David Slade has left his mark undeniably. However it has a faster pace than the earlier 2 movies. The movie seems better than New moon and Twilight and hopefully the critics will not slam it that much. The final fight scene is watchable and it is one of the USPs of the movie. However, thew viewers get the feeling that the climax could have been a tad longer to suit the ambience.

This seems like a better film in the series but it is hard to say whether it would remain the best. The shooting for the last part named ‘Breaking Dawn’ will start. The fans are thronging the theaters and ‘Eclipse’ may dethrone ‘Iron man 2′ in coming days.
