London, Sept 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a quarter of a century, the character of Pam St. Clement in the hit BBC series EastEnders will be killed off in an episode which will be aired in Christmas. The producers of the show have confirmed that the character Pat Evans will be killed off the show but they promised to keep a tight lid on the story.

The story always finds itself out of the bag and that is exactly what seems to have happened. A source told the British media that Pat will be killed in a fire in Albert Square. A replica of the show’s B&B will reportedly be created and set on fire at the Elstree Studios in Borehamwood in the last episode.

The Daily Mirror quoted a source as saying that, “The last time EastEnders built something on this set was when they set fire to the Queen Vic last year. It is only used when they need to film fires and explosions. They want Pam’s character to go out with a bang. The script is so top secret even she doesn’t know how Pat is going to go yet.”

62-year-old Pam has been with the show since 1986 and her character is the longest running after the character of Adam Woodyatt, Ian Beale.
