Sep 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The HBO comedy show “Eastbound & Down” has returned with all fresh new episodes. Last night the premiere of “Eastbound & Down” received accolades of appreciation from its viewers as they watched their favorite character Kenny Powers ticking their funny bones after a long time. The “Chapter 7″ of “Eastbound & Down” was directed by Jody Hill.

The role of Kenny Powers is played by Danny McBride and in one of his interviews Danny McBride said that the audience will see Kenny living a whole new life in the beginning of the season. The audience will see that he envisions himself as “Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven”. Even he puts his old life behind him, it seems that his old life comes back to him. In the premiere of “Eastbound & Down” the audience sees that Kenny resurfaces in Mexico and generates a passion for cockfighting. In the process Kenny draws the attention of a basket ball manager.

Danny McBride told in his interview that the season 2 of “Eastbound & Down” is going to be much darker than season 1 his character Kenny Powers will go through lot of ups and downs. When asked about the “Cornrows” and “Cockfighting”, the actor said that it is the take on the classic sports story where an over qualified person joins the team of “underdogs” and tries to give it a different shape altogether. The main twist of the story would be when the he just the opposite of what Kenny thinks will happen. A reputed media source reported that the new season will have seven episodes. However, the co-director of the comedy series, Jody Hill said in one of his interviews that the season 2 will be a cross between “Amores perros and The Bad News Bears”.
