July 2, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran actor and producer Dwarakeesh was ready to start shooting his next project Vishnuvardhan with Kannada star Sudeep. But the movie is now in trouble as the late actor Vishnuvardhan’s family has objected to the use of his name as the title.

Bharathi Vishnuwardhana, the former actor’s wife said, “The main purpose of Dwarakeesh is to make money by making a movie titled Vishnuvardhan.”

Dwarakeesh is also facing objections over the movie’s title from The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce.

There was a time when Dwarakeesh and the late Vishnuvardhan used to make an excellent pair. Both of them have given many hit Kannada films together.

According to Bharathi, the producer has showed no affection for her husband when he was alive.

On Wednesday, many fans of the late actor Vishnuvardhan gathered at his home in Jayanagar and shouted slogans against the producer Dwarakeesh.

On the other hand, Dwarakeesh is very much satisfied with his act of doing the film. He said, “I hoped that Bharathi would value and appreciate making a film with her husband’s name. I never thought that she would object to this.”

He added, “Sudeep decided the title of the film and it is not based on the late actor’s life. I just wanted to make a good movie and never wanted to defame Vishnuvardhan.”

A producer named K Manju, who is also a close friend of Vishnuwardhan said that the producer should not go ahead with a movie on the late actor’s life.
