Bengali acting sensation, Sandipta Sen, who won millions of hearts in every Bengali household with her role of Durga in the famous
television series ‘Durga’ is all set to break through her clichéd image and venture into something new. The ever so charming ‘Durga’ star has bagged another mega serial in her kitty. The series will be titled ‘Tapur Tupur,’ and Sandy (that’s what her nick name is) will play the role of Tapur.

Sandy said in an interview, that she is very happy to finally venture in something apart from ‘Durga’, “I badly wanted to move away from my Durga image,” she said. The series will be about two sisters, who are completely different from one another. Like we said, she will play Tapur and actress Ananya will play Tupur. One of the sisters will most probably be outgoing and witty while the other will be calm and reserved, we presume. That’s what happens in these kinds of stories about sisters right?

Sandy said that “this will be a welcome change” for her. The serial opens with her playing cricket with kids. We presume she is going to be the outgoing one, amongst the two sisters. Sandy, who was just another B.A. student from Ashutosh College, would have never imagined that she would become so famous in such a short span of time. Sky is the limits for this young, beautiful and charming actress.

We hope, she bags many more in her kitty and Bengalees get to see her lot more on the silver screen.
