September 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director and producer Sanjay Sharma’s take on gay couples through his movie Dunno Y.. Na Jaane Kyun has received both criticism and accolades. It has been screened in many international film festivals, where it has been received with a great love and adoration.

Now, the lead actors of the movie Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar, have received their much deserved honor in India. Recently, the deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chagan Bhujbal awarded them for their daring and sensitive portrayal of gay couple in the film.

An elated Yuvraaj was quoted saying that the movie received lot of applause in London and now they are getting an award here. He said the festival authorities in London have reported getting very good attendance and response.

Adding to this Kapil mentioned that he has been receiving several emails from people everywhere, who are writing to him about the film. He said that a German gentleman, who conducts Queer Film Festival in six German cities, was very excited to watch their film and he flew to London just to watch it. Later on, he invited the film to be screened in his festival. Now, this is going to be first Indian film being screened in six cities in one country.

Dunno Y.. Na Jaane Kyun stars other actors like Zeenat Aman, Helen, Aryan Vaid, Maradona Rebello, Hazel, Rituparna Sengupta, Asha Sachdev, Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal and Parikshit Sahni.

The story of the movie has been written by Kapil Sharma and Nikhil Kamat has scored the music.
