Dunaway, Duff spar over ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ remake
March 10th, 2009 - 1:47 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, March 10 (IANS) Legendary actress Faye Dunaway started a war of words with actress-singer Hilary Duff as the latter has been cast to star in the “Bonnie and Clyde” remake.
Dunaway starred in the original film which was released in 1967. She supposedly sneered at the fact that Duff takes over the role she originally made famous, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The 68-year-old actress said: “Couldn’t they at least have cast a real actress?”
Duff responded that the comments were “a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now”. Duff was making a reference to Dunaway’s eagerness to have plastic surgery. “I think that my fans that are going to go, see the movie and don’t even know who she is, so you know…”
