- London, Oct 11 (ANI): Sir Michael Gambon, noted for playing Professor Dumbledore in Harry Potter films, had to pull out of a Alan Bennett play when he was taken ill during the rehearsals, a British tabloid has reported.
According to the Sun, the 68-year-old actor collapsed while practising for The Habit of Art.
He was rushed to the hospital and his heath is constantly being monitored now.
Speaking about his health the actor said he was okay and needed to rest for a “couple of weeks”.
The Telegraph quoted him as saying: “I’m temporarily not firing on all cylinders…. This means I must let the show go on without me.”
Sir Michael’s part in the play has now been assigned to Richard Griffiths. (ANI)
